The citizens of Ashton support a strong education system, recognizing that the quality of education a community gives its young people is one of the keys to the health and vitality of the community, and to the prosperity of the region as a whole.
The Fremont County Joint School District #215 includes the Ashton Elementary School, the Ashton Middle School, and North Fremont High School. These schools address core competencies and scholastic achievement and make a wide range of elective courses and extracurricular activities available to their students.
Ashton is within easy driving distance to two State Universities' Satellite Campuses and one Technical College - Idaho State University, University of Idaho and Eastern Idaho Technical College. BYUI, located in Rexburg, ID is also very close.
